On deck are a large and secure cockpit, arch-mounted traveler, twin leather-covered helms, and a sugarscoop transom with shower. Below-decks, the cabin is open and airy with features such as a separate shower stall, spacious galley, and two spacious staterooms.
Sparrow is fast and well suited to single or short-handed sailing. Her plumb bow and reverse transom make for a long waterline, and she has done up to 200-mile days. The working jib is on an oversized furler for easy operation. If winds are light, roll out the Code 0 rigged to the front of the bowsprit. The main halyard is raised via the electric cabin-top Harken winch, and all sail controls are accessible from the safety of the cockpit.
"Sparrow"'s electric windlass renders deployment of her 73 lb. Rocna Vulcan anchor a breeze, and is connected via swivel to 300' of 5/16” chain. When raising the anchor, she is easily rinsed with a dedicated forward anchor washdown.
