Charlie got his first job at a marina at the ripe age of 14 years old scraping the bottom of boats with a garden hoe, power washers were not invented 50 years ago. He came back to work at that same marina years later as a mechanic. He then worked for Cummins, Cat & Detroit Diesel always with a heavy focus on marine. Just prior to founding Global Yacht Exchange Charlie was a top yacht broker for the past 22 years as a wholesaler buying and reselling over a thousand boats that were dealer/broker trade ins on boats to be purchased. This unique business model has given Charlie extensive broker and buyer experience. He knows what brokers and buyers love and hate. How many people can say they purchased over one thousand boats… probably the same amount of people that can say they sold over one thousand boats. All this has lead to Charlie’s laser focused passion to build a far better new industry standard go to platform for Brokers and Buyers to buy and sell boats without getting completely overcharged with fees and subject to extremely unfair rules that cost most brokers half their income with ridiculous mandates.

Babette (Babs) has nearly four decades of administrative experience, providing valuable knowledge and skills to the company. She began her career with the Department of Army, Army Information Systems, and has held a wide range of administrative and office management roles since. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills, Babs is dedicated to supporting her colleagues and helping the company achieve its goals. Outside of work, Babs enjoys exploring wineries, attending live music events with her husband and high school sweetheart, binge-watching good TV shows, and cherishing time with her family—especially her two granddaughters.
